Spring Rolls League starts March 5th

Time to dust off those bowls and get a jump start on the 2016 season by joining the Spring Rolls league!  This is an open draw, coed league that plays Saturday afternoons at 1:00pm.  Runs March 5-April 16.  A great opportunity to get back into the swing of things with a little friendly competition and a lot of socializing!

Draw game starts at 1:00, come early to put your chip in and help set up the rinks.  Cost $15 league fee or $5 drop in.  Questions? Contact John Hollingsworth.

Frostitutes starts January 9th

Time to get the 2016 bowling season started with the Frostitute league Saturday afternoons at 1pm. Starting on Saturday January 9th through February 27th. $15 league fee or $5 drop in. Put your long johns on and come out into the sunlight! No need to signup ahead of time just show up in time to pay and toss your chip in. Questions?

Early Bird Renewal Ends December 31st

Renew your membership by December 31st and receive a $25 discount! On January 1st and after, renewal fees go back to $115 for Full members, $90 for Associate members and $65 for youth memberships. Simply go to the membership page where you can renew online, or print out the renewal form to mail in with your check.

Andy Klubberud at Champion of Champions in Australia

Andy Klubberud is saving the Northwest bowlers from the doldrums of fall.  On Monday November 16 he begins play in World Bowls Champion of Champions Singles tournament in Gold Coast, Australia at Club Helensvale. This is the coming together of National Champions who won their place on the bowling green, not by selection.  Andy earned the right to compete by being the 2014 Men’s Singles National Champion.  Also competing for the US will be Dee McSparran of the SW division who won the 2014 womens title.

Andy and Dee will take on competitors from 25 countries, the men having 11 rounds

Long time member passes-Memorial Service Update

Dee Poor, one of our members and wife of George for over 50 years has died. Dee represented our NW Division at the US Championships. George and Dee were very active members with JP, Woodland Park and down in Arizona. We will miss Dee and our heartfelt condolences to George.  There will be a memorial service on Friday, November 20th at Holyrood Cemetery Chapel, 205 NE 205th Street, Shoreline, WA, at 1:30 pm. A reception will follow at the Lake Forest Park Civic Club, 17301 Beach Dr. NE, Lake Forest Park, WA. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate

2015 National Championships begin this week in Long Beach!

Right now bowlers from all over the country are traveling to Long Beach CA to compete in this year's US National Championships. Representing the Pacific Northwest Division, our very own:

Nancy Nishikawa (women's singles)

Jeff Covell (men's singles)
Andy Klubberud and Max Cavender (men's pairs)

Nita Chambers is our new Board President

Election hours extended

On October 10th we will be voting in our next Board President!  We strongly encourage you to come to the club between the hours of 10am-3pm to cast your vote.  Per our bylaws, we must have at least 25% of the active membership (35 people) vote in person for the election to be valid.

October 10th Trifecta!

Cereal Bowl 7:30-9:30 

Join your fellow bowlers for the Annual Cereal Bowl.  Wear your pj's*, bring your porridge, cereal, or breakfast treat to share. The club supplies milk, juice and coffee. Dew permitting, the traditional spiral course will be waiting for you.  *pj's not required, it just adds to the folly.

All-Member Meeting & Board President Election  10:00am-11:30am 

JPLBC will hold their biannual all member meeting to get feedback from club members and share relevant news. In addition, this particular mtg. includes the election of your next Board President. Voting open from 10am-3pm.
