Janice BellClub member Janice Bell has been named to a five woman squad selected to represent the USA at the 2012 World Championships, Nov 24 – Dec 9 in Adelaide Australia. Held every four years, this is World Bowls' pinnacle event drawing teams of top players from the 24 top-ranked countries.

Initially, the US women's ranking did not qualify them for 2012, but with the recent withdrawal of Namibia the US women were invited.

Janice will play vice skip in the triples and fours. She is joined by team mates Kim Heiser (SWD – singles/skip pairs), Eva Lee (SWD, lead pairs/second fours), Anne Nunes (SWD lead triples/lead fours) and Myra Wood (SCD, formerly of Tacoma LBC – skip triples/skip fours). The men's squad includes Bill Brault (SWD), Loren Dion (SWD), Neil Furman (SWD) Steve Nelson (CEN) and Aaron Zangl (known fondly as AZ, SWD).

Congrats to all selected and the best of luck!
