While at the Championships, Kim Heiser of the Southwest Division USLBA was impressed with the recycling efforts made by the club’s membership. To our surprise, the club received a thank you note from Kim along with a unique gift and card.

Through the Arbor Day Foundation, Kim arranged to have a tree planted in a national forest in the club’s honor. Sent as part of the gift was this lovely wind chime. A tree planted in a national forest for a club keen on recycling and a wind chime – truly Northwest! Thank you, Kim. Your thoughtful gift has certainly made an impression.

In fact, we received many notes of thanks and appreciate them all. We enjoyed hosting the 2011 US National Lawn Bowling Championships, the division champions and spectators of the sport. It was a wonderful week!
